A picture from Geoff Winkler kicks off this page, taken from back in the days there was a respectable if prefabricated building on the platform. Thanks to Brad who provided some extra info in the comments, we have learned that the building burned down in about 1975. Today there is only a bus shelter. I can give you some more info. I was in the Tyabb Fire Brigade.
Back in the 1970’s (I think it was ’75) the station in this picture burned down. The Fire Brigade, which is still located just out of shot to the right of this pic got its electricity from a cable linked to the station – and when the power failed, they had to ring all the firefighters to turn them out!
