There have been three stations in Mackay. The first one was built in Tennyson St in 1885, during the birth of the then isolated Mackay Railway. The second was built in 1924 in Boddington St, while the old Tennyson St site became the rail yards and loco. In 1994 a bypass was built to the west of Mackay and a new Station was built at Paget.
Davo’s photos feature the last days of the Boddington St station and surrounding infrastructure, comprising 61 photos in all. And the the old Boddington Street building still exists. Here is a streetview of it.
