Wycheproof

Whycheproof, on the Kulwin Line, is famous in Victoria for the fact that the railway line runs down the main street of the town. The station, built in 1887 to a common timber design of the period, is heritage listed and remains in fair condition, although the platform has been shortened since our images in the gallery were taken.

Some info on the heritage listing can be found on the Victorian Heritage Database.

More recent images of Wycheproof are at Vicrail Stations. Or you can go back to 1970 and see some images (from image 10 and onwards) at Les Brown’s Train Pics site. This roll also has some photos of Charlton.
