A classic bluestone station. There was once a bit of a yard, with tracks to the goods shed, but they, along with the local signalling were abolished by 1979. The history of the station can be found on Andrew Waugh’s VR History site.
The station has now been single lined, as part of the RFR project. Only the up platform can now be used. Other images of Malmsbury (pre RFR ) can also be found at Vicrail Stations.
