Elaine

A few pictures of Elaine, which is all that is available, as this station vanished not long after the photos were taken in 1986. It used to be quite an important place as bank engines used to run down from Lal Lal for the big push up the hill back to there. As you can see there was also an island platform, quite rare for a small non junction country station.  Presently, little remains at Elaine, as can be seen at Vicrail Stations and Rail Geelong web sites.
