Birchip is another well built station in the Queen Anne terracotta roof style of Donald and other locations. The line reached here in 1893, and was the terminus until 1899 when the track continued to Woomelang. The station still survives, disused for railway purposes since the end of the Mildura passenger trains, however these days is in productive use as a gym. At some time in the past the southern section of the building was demolished, leaving a rather large bare wall.
