This was the end of the line. As the track did not reach here until 1921 a standard pre-stressed concrete slab building was provided, unlike the earlier edifice at Cooma. There was plans for the line to extend right down to Orbost in Victoria, which would had provided yet another break of gauge station with that state. Once a busy location like many others, the final service ran in 1986, and the yard has slowly vanished into the grass, however all the buildings remain intact so far, showing a traditional remote branch line terminus.
