And Pialba Juction
The Terminus of the branch from opening in 1896 until the extension to Urangan was opened in 1913, then again after closure of the Urangan Jetty line, until full closure of the branch. Below are photos of the station, from April 1992, and the last train to depart, CA 1993.
Just to the South of Pialba, was Pialba Junction, where the line to Urangan left the branch. The junction had to be built here because the then terminus station was too close to the beach front to allow the line to extend from there. This resulted in trains having to back out of Pialba to the junction , and proceed to Urangan from there.
