Wayside Halts

This page is to display those images of which there is but a single (or two) picture(s) for the station. Below you will find Fair View, the junction at Wulkuraka, Ottoba, an unknown railmotor  stop between Lowood and Fernvale, and the shelter at Gilla. Late additions include Pinda and Nukku, with thanks to Graham Watkins.

Just having a foam through those magnificent Brisbane Valley editions of Grahams – wow! Just one point of finer detail though – I understood that the former station of Fairneyview (between Vernol & Clarendon) was its proper name, not “Fair View” as suggeste don two of the captions. Happy to stand corrected, but I do believe it was “Fairneyview”. The BV line had some classic QLD names! Otaba for goodness sakes…Cooragook, Vernol, Nukku – classic!! 🙂

    Cheers,
    H.

  2. …..and that may be Vernor, not Vernol – will have to consult my bible of bollocks to clarify! 😛

Thanks H! Will look into this and correct accordingly.

  4. Mike says:

Okay, the overriding authority on all things accurate (Wikipedia) has nominated that Fairney View (two words) is the correct location identity. Have corrected the captions.

Yes, that would be correct! Good deal I suggested that Id be happy to “Stand corrected” 😉
