Parwan these days is crossing loop on the regional fast rail line to Ballarat, with safeworking controlled from Ballarat. Back inĀ 1890, it had a station platform, goods shed and a 20 lever interlocked signal box. In 1948 a new station building and signal cabin was erected on the site. By 1984 Parwan was no longer used as a crossing station, instead trains crossed at the Parwan loop, sited to the east. In 1987, safeworking for the loop was transferred to Baccus Marsh, and then to Ballarat in 2005 as part of the RFR. Current images of Parwan can be found here
A comprehensive history of the site that illustrates the above can be found at Andrew Waugh’s VR History site. The PDF download includes yard diagrams from 1890, 1920, 1948, 1984 and 1987. There is also line history and images at Vicsig
