Tallong

Tallong was a place of importance in the steam days, due to the fact a dam was built for a constant supply of water, as well as two water tanks, and columns for supplying said liquid before the long climb up to Bundanoon and Exeter. A block post was also established and a quite interesting range of buildings gathered on the down platform. In 1987 all was still there, then piece by piece various structures were demolished. Today, only the up platform shelter survives and the two water tanks. The dam still serves a useful function for the tiny village nearby.
