The junction for the former loop line to Picton via Thirlmere, once the original main line, it was seen fit to have a proper signal box here. These days, even though a stump of the line survives for the industrial estate at Braemar, the box is long demolished and replaced by a ground frame. The large down home signal survives on the loop line, rumours in recent times suggest ARTC is not aware of its existence.
