Stratford still enjoys regular V/Line passenger services. The line from Maffra opened to Statford in November 1887. The line from Sale was opened in May the following year. Beyond Stratford towards Bairnsdale is the small station of Fernbank. Geoff Winkler has provided a picture of a Down Gippslander at that station from 1978. The picture will reside in this gallery till we get enough to make up a Fernbank page.
